AU SABLE FORKS FREE LIBRARY SEEKING VOLUNTEERS
FOR CHILDREN’S PROGRAMMING:

The Au Sable Forks Free Library is actively seeking volunteers who would be interested in providing children’s programming. We are looking for individuals passionate about connecting children to literacy through a variety of programs. We are seeking both individuals who can offer one-time events or continuous series. We would like to maintain our monthly holiday craft and story time specials as well as provide other opportunities for the children in our library community with a variety of programming. If you are interested please contact the library by phone at 647-5596 (ask for Susanna) or by email at afbooks@charter.net

Library Board meeting will be March 28th at 7 pm.

Saturday January 14th at 11am we will be having a special visit from Roo the Kangaroo
Roo will read books that will be enjoyed by any of our children. This is Roo's second visit and we know it will be as much fun as the first one was so plan on stopping by.

Annual Fund Drive
The Board of Trustees of the Au Sable Forks Free Library is once again appealing to your generosity during our annual fund drive. The revenue generated is an important portion of our overall operating budget and without your help, our library would not be the special place that it truly is.  Community involvement is essential to the continued success of the library.
In thinking about making your gift, please keep in mind that this year will be a financial challenge
to ensure that current best sellers and DVDs will be available and that computer services
can be upgraded. Your generosity would be greatly appreciated.
To make a donation please send to the
Au Sable Forks Free Library, PO Box 179, Au Sable Forks, NY 12912
Thank you for your support.

Donations:

And also we will begin to take small donations again but please adhere to these donation guidelines. We were overwhelmed with donations earlier in the year but we find we need to be more specific to ensure the items we offer our patrons meet their needs and to add welcome variation at our book sales.
Please do not leave donations in our drop box and call beforehand as we cannot accommodate large boxes of donations.
For Books:
*Items need to be in good to excellent shape.
*Items must not be older than ten years, prefer items within the last five years if non-fiction.
*Please no Danielle Steele, James Patterson, Tom Clancy, or Dean Koontz.
*No VHS, DVD ONLY.
*No magazines.
*No atlases, medical texts, or academic textbooks.
*No sets of Encyclopedias

Thank you for understanding and following these new guidelines, your support for the library is greatly appreciated.

Volunteers:
The library is actively seeking anyone who would be interested in volunteering at the library: be it on a regular basis or trained to be "on-call." If you are interested, please contact the library by phone during operating hours (647-5596) or via email (afbooks@charter.net). Any and all skills/abilities are welcome, knowledge of computer use is beneficial but not necessary.
